The film and creative industries continue to face challenges surrounding safety violations, bullying, and harassment. Despite existing standards and policies, research has identified four recurring issues:
- Each production introduces new policies that producers struggle to keep up with.

The core problem lies in the disconnect between policies and the reality of on-set dynamics. Policies deal with real people and real shoots where behaviours are nuanced and can't always be addressed through standardised rules. These gaps compromise safety, and hurt morale and productivity on set.
The importance of robust policies cannot be overstated, and we do not advocate that they shouldn't exist.
